SERVICES
Before care?
- You must come in with healthy undamaged nails.
- If you are a new client please come in with bare nails. We do not refill or remove product from other technicians.
After care?
- Cuticle oil must be used at least twice a day to maintain your newly treated nails.
- Wear gloves when washing dishes and cleaning.
- Do not pick or bite the skin surrounding your nails.
- Your nails are jewels not tools!
How to book an appointment?
You can book an appointment by clicking ‘Appointments’ at the top of the page or by booking through Fresha.
Do you take walk ins?
We are an appointment based and do not accept walk ins.
How often should I get refills?
Refills are recommended between 2-3 weeks, no later than 4 weeks.
Do you refill or remove work by other technicians?
No, we do not remove or refill work by other technicians. If you are coming to us for the first time you will need to come in with bare nails.
What are out of hours appointments?
Out of hours appointments are appointments booked outside of our opening times, for an additional fee.
Opening hours are 9am - 5pm.
Any appointment booked before 9am & after 5pm are classed as Out of Hours and results in an additional €25 fee, this can be selected when booking.
What is your appointment policy?
- Please arrive at the time of your booking.
- If you are early please drop me a message on Instagram and I will let you know if l am ready sooner.
- If you are more than 10 minutes late I will only be able to provide a simple set or your appointment will be rescheduled and you will be subject to payment before any future appointments are booked.
- If you have booked in for a longer nail art slot but decide to go for a plain set on the day, you must pay for the time slot you have booked.
- In the unlikely event that you are unable to make your appointment please allow a minimum of 48 hours notice.
- If less than 48 hours notice is given you will be subject to pay 50% of your appointment fee.
- If less than 24hours notice is given you will be subject to pay 100% of your appointment fee.
- If you cancel on the day or ‘No Show’ you will be required to pay in full for the appointment you missed.
- Please note I do not refill or remove nails done by other nail technicians/salons. This should be removed prior to your appointment and if not I have the right to refuse treatment and you will be subject to payment.
- Do not bring friends/family to your appointment.
- If your nails are damaged or you have a nail disease/disorder I have the right to refuse treatment and you will be subject to payment.

Where is the studio & academy based?
We are based in Lucan, Dublin.
What course do you recommend for Beginners?
The Acrylic Beginner Course is best suited for beginners. It is designed for those who want to become a fully qualified & insurable nail technician with no previous experience.
This course will be the first step to your new career in the nail industry as a confident and successful nail technician.
Which courses come with certification?
Our Acrylic Beginner Course is fully accredited and comes with certification, allowing you to become a fully qualified and insurable nail technician.
Which courses include a kit?
The Acrylic Beginner Course includes a full Kit.
Which courses are recommended for those with experience?
We recommend one of our Masterclasses for someone with experience as they can be beneficial no matter what stage of your nail journey you are in.
Can I buy a course for someone else?
Yes you can buy a course for someone else!
If you put your name on the order to purchase for someone else, you can just email us at denissasnails@gmail.com and we will gladly assist you with editing the name on the course to reflect the correct student name.
What is your training policy?
- Please note that your deposit is non-refundable and only transferable to another course with Denissa’s Nails if cancelled at least 21 days in advance.
- Denissa's Nails may in some cases recommended additional training prior to awarding certification.
How many students can participate in the courses?
We hold courses with a maximum of four students to provide a more hands-on approach and ensure the best level of learning or teaching.
